There has been a lot of confusion about Geas Gaming and some of its partners and games. This page is meant to help clarify things.
Geas Gaming is a company owned by Michael Paxton and William Haddon. It’s business is helping run LARP games in Colorado and licensing the Geas 5.0 rules system to other games for their use.
Geas 5.0 or Geas Core is a rules system owned by Geas Gaming. It is a customizable fully-fleshed out LARP rules framework that is available for licensing.
Hollow Dawn was a short-run LARP game run by Geas Gaming. It used an adaptation of the Geas 5.0 rules system (technically called the Hollow Dawn Campaign Rules) as its rules-set.
CLU is a Colorado-based LARP company owned by Eric Steinkamp and Mark Rodden. The current campaign they are running is called Arcanorum in Colorado. Other than licensing the rules, Geas Gaming has no formal relationship with CLU or any of its games or campaigns.
Kansas LARPs LLC is a Kansas-based LARP company owned by Daniel Armstrong. They are currently running campaing called Grimoire in Kansas. Other than licensing the rules, Geas Gaming has no formal relationship with KLL or any of its games or campaigns.
Tempest is the rules-system that CLU and KLL have adopted for their campaigns. It is a licensed version of the Geas 5.0 Core rules system.
Arcanorum is the 5-year campaign happening in Colorado, owned by CLU, and run by Ian Moriarty, using the Tempest rule-set.
Grimoire is the campaign happening in Kansas, owned by Kansas LARPs LLC (Daniel Armstrong), using the Tempest rule-set.
